Who Kevin Foxcroft is
Kevin Foxcroft is a senior engineering technician based in the Reno–Sparks area of Northern Nevada. He works at NCE, the Reno-headquartered engineering, planning and environmental firm formerly known as Nichols Consulting Engineers, which has served public agencies across the Great Basin and the Sierra front since 1990.
His work sits at the point where design drawings meet ground truth: survey control and monumentation, field data collection, drainage and grading support, and the record-keeping that lets a public agency maintain what it builds. That includes setting, tying in and updating highway monuments in the Nevada Department of Transportation geodatabase — unglamorous work that decides whether the next engineer to touch a corridor can trust the coordinates they inherit.
He is based in the Truckee Meadows, and the agencies NCE serves are the ones that own the roads, storm drains and rights-of-way across Northern Nevada.
